Apps developers are remarkably making good money out of every apps they build. No wonder online stores are mostly visited by smartphone users just to check on the hottest new apps online. If youve found the perfect app for your Samsung Galaxy Grand, then follow these steps in installing and perhaps uninstalling those unwanted apps.

Installing apps

1. First tap on Play Store on the applications Lcd to view available apps online.

2. You can browse available apps by category or simply tapto search with a keyword.

3. Then select an application to view. To download it on your phone, tap Install. Make sure to double check the app info like its price and ratings before hitting the install button.

4. If theres a charge for that app,tap the price and follow the onLcd instructions to purchase it.

5. To install apps that are from other sources, just go to Applications > Settings > Security > Unknown sources.


Uninstalling apps

1. In uinstalling the apps purchased from the Play Store, tap

2. Then go to My Apps.

3. And select an application you want to delete, then tap Uninstall.


How to Use S Voice
With the S Voice application you can use your voice to perform operations that you would normally have to do by hand such as dialing a phone number, texting a message, playing music, etc.

1. From the Home Lcd, tap Apps ➔ S Voice or the Microphone icon.

2. Read the Samsung Disclaimer then tap Confirm to continue.

3. Read the Vlingo Terms of Service then tap Agree to continue.

4. Read the information on the About S Voice Lcd, then tap Next.

5. Read the information on the Say what you want Lcd, then tap Next.

6. Read the information on the Wake up S Voice Lcd, then tap Next.

7. Read the information on the What Can I Say? Lcd, then tap Finish.

8. At the S Voice Lcd, say “Hi Galaxy” to wake up S voice.

9. Speak into the phone and follow the on-Lcd instructions.


How to Activate Direct Call and Smart Alert

The Motion settings allow you to set up various Motion activation services. For more information on using gestures.

1. From the Home Lcd, tap ➔ Settings ➔ Motion.

2. Tap Motion activation to activate the feature. A checkmark is displayed.

3. The following options are available. Tap the ON/OFF icon to activate each option.

• Direct call: Once enabled, the device will dial the currently displayed on-Lcd Contact entry as soon as you place the device to your ear.

• Smart alert: Once enabled, pickup the device to be alerted and notified of you have missed any calls or messages.

1. If youre on an ongoing call, tap .
2. Then dial the number of the second participant and tap .
3. When the second participant answers the call, the first call is put on hold.
4. Tap on  to start the conference call. Repeat the same steps to add more participants to the conference call.


To have a private conversation with one of the participants

1. Tap the button showing the number of participants during the ongoing conference call.
2. Then tap on the name of the participant you wish to talk privately.
3. To end the conversation and return to the conference call, tap 

To release a participant during the ongoing conference call

1. Tap the button showing the number of participants during the ongoing conference call.
2. Then tap  next to the participant you want to release from the call.

To end the conference call

1. During the conference call, just tap .

How to Transfer Files Using Media Transfer Mode Via Wi-Fi on Sony Xperia E

Transferring files in Sony Xperia E is now made easy by using the Media Transfer Mode. You can easily transfer files between your device and other MTP compatible devices such as computer, using a Wi-Fi connection. But before you can transfer files wirelessly, you will need to pair both devices.

Note: You will need a Wi-Fi enabled devices that supports Media transfer such as a computer running Microsoft, Windows Vista orWindows 7.


To pair your device with the computer:

1. Check if the media transfer mode of your device is enabled. It is normally enabled by default.
2. Using the USB cable, connect your device to a computer.
3. On your computer, once the name of your device appear, click on Network Configuration and just follow the steps on how to pair the computer.
4. After pairing, safely disconnect your device from your computer.

These steps will work only on Windows 7 OS and the computer is connected to the Wi-Fi Access point via network cable.

To connect paired devices wirelessly in Media Transfer Mode:

1. First things first, check if the media transfer mode is enabled.
2. On your Home Lcd, tap on the Menu icon.
3. Select Settings > Xperia > USB connectivity.
4. Then tap the paired device that you want to connect to under Trusted devices.
5. Tap connect.

If you want to disconnect, just tap on the paired device and tap Disconnect.

If you want to remove the paired device, tap on the paired device you want to remove and select Forget.



How to Import Contacts From Old Phone to New Phone (on Sony, iPhone, Samsung, HTC and Nokia)

These steps is also helpful when your Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE is unresponsive or frozen and theres no way to access the settings. If it is frozen, remove the battery and reinsert it after a few minutes.

• Power up the device pressing both Volume UP and Down keys at the same time. Use the Volume down key to highlight recovery mode and volume up to select it.

• When in recovery mode, you will see an android with a red triangle. Press Volume up and Volume down at the same time. This will bring up a blue menu at the top of the Lcd.

• Press Volume down to select "wipe data/factory reset" and press the Power key to select it.

• Now press Volume down to highlight Yes and press power to select it.

• Finally, when the device finishes it will have "reboot system now" selected. Just press power to select that option.

• To see whats using your battery more, go to Settings > Battery. If you want to set an automatic rules of saving more battery, tap on Apps, and select Smart Actions.

• Turn down your device volume with the volume keys.

• Close any apps or features when you are done using it so they will not continuously running in the background.

• Turn off the network connection if you are out of range so that your device will stop searching for a network signal.

• You should use the latest version of the software update. Software updates improves some features and fixes some bugs on the previous software version.

• Turn off the camera flash.

• Use the Airplane Mode if you are not using any connections.

There will come a time that Motorola or your Internet Service Provider will give a software update for your Motorola Droid Photon Q 4G LTE device. The update is needed to fix some bugs and for you to experience the newly added features. It may come by batch, but if you have not receive the update for a while, then you may need to manually check for the updates.

1. On your devices Lcd, tap on Apps

2. Then go to Settings menu.

To check on your battery history

1. On your homeLcd, slide the Notifications panel open.
2. Then tap.
3. Choose and tap on Power and go to History.
4. Now swipe left or right ( or spread or pinch your fingers) to scale the graph that details your battery usage over the time.


How to Clear Call History on HTC One Max 

Either your call logs are just piling up or you simply want to achieve a clean call history list, then you can do the steps below. Heres how to delete or clear call history on your HTC One Max device.

To delete one name or number

1. On your devices Call History tab, press and hold the name or number you wish
to delete.

2. And tap Delete from call history.


To delete the entire call history list

3. Now drag the folder from the All apps view to the launch bar.

4. If you want to remove an app from a folder on the launch bar, you need to
switch first to the All apps view and then drag the app out of the folder.
