How to block a phone number on your cell HTC EVO Shift 4G

Cell phone Sprint EVO Shift 4G allows you to block certain numbers. You can also lock the handle when you want to call other numbers . When a blocked number that calls you to have your EVO Shift, the phone sends the call to the mailbox instead of ring . Blocking your caller ID , the person answering your phone seen in " private " or "restricted " instead of a number . You can block Caller ID on a call or in all .
Block incoming numbers
  1. Open the Applications Lcd in the Evo phone and press the " People " option.
  2. Press contact number you want to block . If you have a contact for that number , click " Add Contact " adds the name and click " OK". Add your number and go to the next step.
  3. Scroll down until you see " Send to voicemail " . Check the box next to the option and click "OK" when the phone asks you if you want to send the call to voicemail.
  4. Click the " Save" command to save the changes and exit the Lcd .

Block Caller ID number
  1. Press the phone button on the Lcd to open the dial pad .
  2. Make " * 67 " followed by the number you wish to call.
  3. Press the "Call" command to send the call.
Tips and WarningsYou can also block your number from caller ID, contacting the customer service of the company Sprint. Only marked "* 2 " from a Sprint phone or digital number from another phone 888-211-4727 .
The "Send to voicemail " option does not work with restricted numbers.

Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint) can be updated to latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The upgrade is possible with the help of custom ROM PAC-man. The development team of PAC-man ROM finally introduced Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM for Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint). Which means, you can download and install custom firmware PAC-man to update your Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint) to latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. Another thing you should note, this is nightly build, hence expect some bugs in it. All bugs and issues expected to be fixed as development progress towards a stable PAC-man build.

This tutorial is only for Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint). Don’t try this guide on any other Android device. Also, we (Android Pulp Team) are not responsible for any damage caused due to the instruction given in this page. Try this at your own risk. However, it is very unlikely that your device will be damaged if you follow all the instructions as it is which are mentioned in procedure.  
Pre Requisites:

1. ROM flashing require you to wipe your internal memory data, hence you required to backup your device data. You can follow our ultimate backup guide.

2.  Make sure your device have at least 60% battery power. If your phone shut down during installation then there is good chance to brick your device.You can install an app like Battery Notifier BT Free on your Android device to check it easily.

3. You must have USB Driver Installed for Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint) in your PC. [Download USB Drivers]

4. Make sure USB Debugging is enabled otherwise its wont be possible to transfer file between PC and Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint). [Guide].

5. Your device have latest CWM version 6.0.4.4 and up or TWRP 2.6.3.1 and up installed. [General Guide]

If you done everything that we mentioned above then you are ready to follow step-by-step guide on how to install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM on Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint).

  1. Google Apps [Filename: pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip]
How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat based PAC-man ROM on Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint)
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
  1. Disconnect USB and then turn off your Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint).
  1. Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume Down, Camera and Power button together and you should see recovery menu soon. In recovery use Volume Keys to navigate between option and Power to select an option. Alternatively try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
  1. Perform a Nandroid backup of your existing ROM that you can restore later if this new ROM not work or you want to go back into your previous ROM. To perform a backup, select Backup and Restore, then on the next Lcd, select Backup again. Go back to main recovery menu after backup is complete.
  1. Now, perform data wiping task. To do so, select wipe data/factory reset, then select Yes on next Lcd to confirm your action. Wait few minutes till the data wipe is complete. Now come back to CWM recovery main menu. Select wipe cache partition and after wiping process done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache under advance option to perform Dalvik cache wiping.
  1. Select install zip from sdcard, then select choose zip from sdcard. Now, locate the PAC-man Zip file that you copied earlier in Step 1 and select it by pressing Power button. Confirm installation by selecting Yes – Install _____.zip on the next Lcd. The ROM installation will begin.
  1. Once the ROM installation process end, repeat the step 6 but choose the pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip file instead of ROM zip to install the Google apps package.
  1. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and select reboot system now to reboot your Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint) and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM PAC-man. 
  1. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select backup and restore then restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Tutorial For TWRP Recovery Users:
  1. Connect your device to PC using USB cable and then copy downloaded files to the SD card of your device. Important: Don’t extract any files.
  1. Disconnect USB and then turn off your Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint).
  1. Now, boot into recovery mode. To do so, press and hold Volume Down, Camera and Power button together and you should see recovery menu soon. Alternatively try this: Recovery Mode without Key Combination.
  1. Create a Backup using TWRP Backup Option.
  1. Perform a Factory Reset (this will delete all apps and their settings and game progress). To do this, Tap on Wipe, then at the bottom of the Lcd do a Swipe on the ‘Swipe to factory reset‘ option.
  1. Now its time to add zip file for flashing. Tap on Install, then browse to the location where you saved the files and tap on the PAC-man Zip file. Then tap on Add More Zips, and add pa_gapps-stock-4.4.2-20140207-signed.zip. Now at the bottom of the Lcd, do a swipe on the Swipe to confirm flash option to begin flashing.
  1. When installation is completed, go back to the main recovery menu and tap on Reboot and then, tap on System to reboot your Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint) and boot up into Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM PAC-man.
  1. Returning to Previous ROM: To go back to your previous ROM, boot into recovery, select Backup then through Restore option, restore your previous ROM by selecting it from the list.
Congrats! Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware based custom ROM PAC-man is now running on your Samsung Epic 4G SPH-D700 (Sprint). Now explore the latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat. [Note: If you find difficulties to run root only apps then it may be disabled. Do this then, enable developer settings first (tap the build number 8 times under about device), then enable root under Developer Settings].

How to Factory Reset Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE

Resetting your Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE will restore the default settings of your device. It will also delete all your files on your phone, so it is recommended to have a backup of your important files on your computer. There are two ways on how to reset your Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. It can be done through the settings or through the hardware buttons.

Resetting Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE on Settings:

  • On your Home Lcd, press Menu.
  • Go to Settings, and select Privacy.
  • Tap on Factory data reset.
  • Then tap Reset phone.
  • And Erase everything to confirm the reset.

How to Hard Reset Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE:

These steps is also helpful when your Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE is unresponsive or frozen and theres no way to access the settings. If it is frozen, remove the battery and reinsert it after a few minutes.

  • Power up the device pressing both Volume UP and Down keys at the same time. Use the Volume down key to highlight recovery mode and volume up to select it.
  • When in recovery mode, you will see an android with a red triangle. Press Volume up and Volume down at the same time. This will bring up a blue menu at the top of the Lcd.

To reinstall an app:

If the app is from Google play store, simply go to Apps > Play Store > My apps. From there you can see your apps ready to download again.

Adding Widgets on your HomeLcd will help you improve your productivity in using your Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE. If you dont know what widgets means, Widgets are small applications that you can directly use on your HomeLcd. These will serve as your shortcut icon so will no longer need to access the Menu.

To add a Widgets:
  • Go to Apps.
  • Tap and hold on the widget.

You can still request for a refund on your purchased apps if it is still with 24-hours of the purchase. Your credit card will not be charged and the application is uninstalled from your phone. You can still repurchase the apps, but there will be no refund for the second time.

1. Touch Apps > Settings > Apps > Downloaded. 

2. Touch the application to uninstall. 

3. Touch Uninstall & refund. Your application is uninstalled and the charge is cancelled. 

4. Touch the reason for removing the app, and then touch OK.
